Nursing Education at the Jackson Center

 The Loewenberg School of Nursing

 The Loewenberg School of Nursing (LSON) offers a program of study designed to prepare students for careers in professional nursing. As a part of a comprehensive university, the school is dedicated to developing scholarship in nursing and providing services that support the institutional mission.

 The LSON offers courses for two options through The University of Memphis, Jackson Center:

     RN to BSN Option (for RNs)
     Dual Degree Option (for Jackson State's ASN nursing students)

 RN to BSN Option

 The RN to BSN option is designed for Registered Nurses who want a BSN degree. Students have the choice of attending full-time or part-time. All courses are offered either online or as evening classes in order to accommodate the schedules of working nurses.

 Dual Degree Option

 The Dual Degree option is designed for ASN nursing students who want a BSN degree. ASN students complete certain upper division nursing courses required for the BSN degree while taking courses toward the ASN degree. This option allows earlier completion of the BSN following graduation with the associate degree than a traditional RN to BSN course of study.
